Blogger is *#$%@!!!

I'm starting to have it with this blogger thing! Either it is NOT working right with firefox or then it just randomly chooses to crash when you are almost done with your post - in anycase, it FUCKS me up!!

I had a nice, informative post about Dutch damsystem linked to New Orleans and all that stuff, blah, blah, blah, and only had to make a final hyperlink to one webpage. I pressed the link button, got the little pop-up, right clicked on it to past the link and with that I got my desktop. My browser had closed with all the websites.

MAybe I'm swithing over to Blogsome, which is a very good service, fast and reliable. Hadn't had a problem with is so far.

And no, I don't save my posts as a Draft every freaking 2 minutes.

Just a note, I've got blogs on both blogger and blogsome. I picked blogger for my podcast site because I noticed blogsome is inaccessible quite a bit. I've been with them since January of this year.

Being down a lot isn't too bad for my personal blog but I wanted to be sure the podcast blog would be up more often so I went with blogger.

Anyway, I hope your troubles go away no matter you decide to do.

Downtime is not a problem for me, I don't blog everyday. I only don't need problems when I have something to publish. I had one blog in Blogsome earlier, had it going several months and didn't have problems other than sometimes, as you said, it was down though rarely. But that I have had with Blogger too.

I certainly am thinking about switching, I also like the interface with Blogsome and it does work faster than Blogger.

Mighty, doing it all in Word sounds like a good idea, though I'm not always on my windows box - I have to use OpenOffice word processing then. I only think making links and adding photos in Word or other similar programs is not so simple as doing it in the blog interface.

I try to make the entry again, but it's kind of old news now, so I don't know if I can force it :)

Alembic, I have one box running Ubuntu distro and haven't had any problems with downloading. I'm running Azureus on it for torrent downloads and it works steady as a rock. Once downloads are done, I transfer the files from Linux to Windows. Works great. My browser is Firefox and that works fine too.
I do know that at least with Ubuntu there were issues with the new Firefox update, but it got solved pretty quick. My version is 1.0.2
The world is still mostly Windows orientated, but Linux has been gaining ground not only with normal people but also in the business life.
